In Case You Missed It: SPEAR Foundation in Tampa

From July 19–26, 2026, the SPEAR Foundation was present in Tampa, Florida, for the 61st Biennial Boulé of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. SPEAR’s presence reflected our continued commitment to service, education, community investment, and measurable impact.

During the week, SPEAR supported several community-centered efforts, including:

  • Becoming HER with Girls, Inc. of Tampa Bay, which engaged 20 middle school girls and included an investment of more than $5,000 in the program and its learning environment

  • Sigma Gamma Rho’s Operation Big Book Bag and Project Cradle Care

  • Community engagement activities and support for local nonprofit organizations, including Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay

  • A $10,000 Foundation sponsorship connected to Boulé-related service and community investment

  • The presentation of a $150,000 Macy’s Mission Every One contribution for SPEAR to steward and distribute through community impact initiatives

SPEAR also hosted an exhibit presence at Booth 306 in the Tampa Convention Center from July 22–25. The Foundation used that space to share information, connect with members and partners, invite support through the Community Impact Campaign, and communicate how SPEAR turns investment into impact.

The Foundation’s 2024–2026 Community Investment and Impact Report was also made available and presented as part of the Boulé experience. The report reflects SPEAR’s work across leadership, partnerships, grantmaking, education, research, and international service.

Through these combined efforts, SPEAR continued building relationships, documenting its impact, and strengthening the Foundation’s visibility as an independent organization committed to underserved communities.

One Mission. Shared Impact. Strategic Possibilities.
